Yes, he could have grabbed her by the seat of her pants and tossed her out the door.river rat said:Never in my most remote thinking would I ever strike an elder (and you guys know what I mean), let alone TAZ an elder. This young man(?) is pathetic.
He could have dealt with it differently.

That's 68% of the population.StrwberryKisses said:I hate Tazers. Especially when they are used on people that are elderly and mentally challenged.

Older folks say what they want to say. Deal with it.
They have a different view than someone under 30. Deal with it.
They have a different sense of humor. Deal with it.
She said what she thought. All he needed to do was say what he thought. Done. Agree to disagree.
Tasers are not to be used on non violent persons. I did not read where she was violent. They disagreed. Period. Big flipping whoop.
I would bet the police did not escort her off the premises because she was non-violent and not a threat. I would also bet they thought the man was an idiot.
Just my two cents.
Idiot or not it was HIS place and she should have left when the request for her to leave was made.bresamil said:Can I come at this from a different perspective, as one that has spent a great deal of time with people over 70?

All he had to say is "My house, my child. If you don't like it you're welcome to leave it."rack'm said:Swatting an ass of a child for playing with wires isn't abusing the child. If it was his home, Granny needed to beat feet, rather she liked it or not.
How do you know this wasn't already said. He was dealing with and OLD WOMAN!bresamil said:All he had to say is "My house, my child. If you don't like it you're welcome to leave it."
The article did not state whether she was able to leave the home on her own. I have several 70+ relatives that no longer drive.Dutch6 said:Idiot or not it was HIS place and she should have left when the request for her to leave was made.
WE are only assuming on both sides. The full story isn't in print I'm sure. I'm still siding with the guy though. His house and child. Can't say it's not her business because the kid is family.bresamil said:The article did not state whether she was able to leave the home on her own. I have several 70+ relatives that no longer drive.
It also says nothing of her mental state, health, or any other contributing factors to either her statement or refusal to leave.
There is nothing in the article to state her tone of voice or exact words used when she made her statement. My aunt comes off the cuff with that kind of stuff all the time and she's normally just ribbing the person she's talking to.
