Yea, but he still shouldn't have sparked granny.......

I agree his methods were a bit harsh for someone in their 70's. Hope she was wearing her depends!!!! Bet if you heard the rest of the story you might alomost side with him for being pizzed off enough to do it. last time I was in NY visiting my Mom she drove me nuts enough to wish I had a tazer because she didn't like the way I cared for my daughter. It was just the usual looking out for your grandkids and being overprotective. Just gets a little overbearing at times. No, I wouldn't zap her.

Back in the day we lived with the wife's grand parents and there were times when they didn't agree (and still don't) with my iron hand policy, but I never struck one of the grand parents.

There has to be mutual respect and no matter what, not everyone is going to agree with everyones form of parenting.

And that's the gist of it. No reason for a tazer no matter how heated the argument as long as there was no violence. And if she made some sort of "I'm calling child services" statement, the tazing would not help his case.

As Vrai mentioned, where is the wife? This is her relative.

So where was this guy's wife when all this was going on? I mean, it's her grandmother - you'd think she'd have intervened in some form.

I don't like stories like this, that raise more questions than they answer.
She was upstairs trying to recover from being tazered....

NORTH BONNEVILLE, Wash. (AP)- A man who said he used a stun gun on his wife's 79-year-old Ok, 79 is a bit old to need tazing... grandmother was arrested for investigation of domestic assault.

Aaron de Bruyn, 26, was cited with fourth-degree domestic violence assault Wednesday and released from the Skamania County jail Thursday, Police Chief Calvin Owens said. The grandmother wasn't injured. Tuff old bird.

When she refused to leave, Bad judgement on her part he said he shocked her on her right shoulder as she sat on the living room couch. She was sitting!!:faint: This guy is a wuss who needs to be tased himself.

"She yelped, because getting Tased hurts," de Bruyn told The Columbian newspaper. :killingme Sorry, I find this funny. :jameo:

Despite the "hypocrite" comments, grandma should have left. Being a Christian does not mean I have to have sympathy for someone that is out of line. Tasing her was over the top, granted, but I still have no sympathy for her. If she had left when told to, she would not have been tased.

As far as it hurting, nonsense. I've been tased; I volunteered; 200,000 volt, not the puny 50,000 volt like in the article. Rather find out if it works before Sharon needed it. It was no big deal. Buzz. Eh? So what. Granted, I am not 79, but I don't think the result would have been any different. Sharon even had me try it on her. Same result. No big deal. The taser is now another piece of junk we should not have bought.

She's old so Tazers are out, a good creme pie to the face would have been much more acceptable and a good laugh for the cops upon arrival...

I really wish I had a tazer. I wouldn't use it on old people, but I really wish I had one. Not a strong one, just one that would serve as a kind of "warning."

De Bruyn said he was arguing with Rosemary Garlock, who accused him of abusing his 7-month-old son when he swatted the boy's diapered bottom to stop him from grabbing electrical wires.
 Yeah cuz getting electrocuted is nowhere near as horrific as getting your diapered ass swatted :duh:

I hate Tazers. Especially when they are used on people that are elderly and mentally challenged.
