Man Beating Baby Shot And Killed

Clearly you turn a blind eye to all the incidents where people with firearms stop crime everyday. I guess no home owner should own a fire extinqusher either since 99% of peoples homes never catch on fire. Same logic.

ahahhaha

that isn't even close to the same kind of logic.

and no, I don't turn a blind eye to people who stop crime using firearms. I just think that if everyone walked around with a loaded weapon, it wouldn't do a damn thing to prevent crime.

after all, that guy would have been armed and would have shot the kid.

It was a terrible tragedy, but saying guns would have prevented it is stupid.

I am not saying that everyone should have a gun, citizens that have no criminal past and who are proficient with a firearm should have a CHOICE to protect themselves. I'd take a bet that this guy beating the baby would of already been disqualfied from owning a gun, legally. But if you are going to kill a baby on the street in broad day light, why would you pay attention to a relatively minor charge of carry an illegal firearm?

I am not saying for sure that the tragedy would of been prevented but when law makers make it impossible for people to have a means of defense, incidents like this cannot be stopped. The article said people tried to stop it, and a elderly couple were the first to witness it. The gun could of been just the thing the old couple could of used to get the advantage in the situation.

God made man and Colt made them equal and all.

Robinson jumped from his vehicle and confronted the man, who lunged at him. Robinson said the man wasn't screaming and wasn't loud, but was forceful, saying "demons" were in the boy.
"Give me the knife. Give me the knife," the man said as he grabbed for a pen in the fireman's front pocket.
"There was a total hollowness in his eyes," Robinson said, "like I could see right through to the back of his head."

Coroner's deputies believe they know the boy's name, but "due to the severity of his injuries making a visual identification is nearly impossible," Singh said.
Seeking a connection
They were also trying to establish the connection between the attacker and the boy. Authorities were attempting to contact family members on Sunday, but Singh said many live out of the area.
 How do they know the boy's name if they haven't talked to his family, they don't live in the area and there is no known connection to his murderer?

This just sickens me! I don't mean to blame anyone but the abusive bastard that did this, but didn't any of the people stopping and passing by have a crowbar or tire iron? One swift blow to the back of the skull could have prevented this!

I don't think we can judge the passersby in this case. It says they stopped, which is more than a lot of people seem to do. The first passersby were an elderly couple. I seriously doubt they could stop him. It said some people tried to stop him and he brushed them aside. If the man were on PCP or something...isn't one of the side effects of that unusual strength?
