Man's Suicide Bullet Also Kills 16-Year-Old Girl

EUREKA, Mont. -- A man who committed suicide at a party also killed a 16-year-old girl when the bullet traveled through his head and struck her in the chest, authorities said.

Jacob R. Lee, 19, and Lorena Mocko, 16, were found shot to death at around 1 a.m. Saturday, Lincoln County authorities said.

Lee shot himself and the bullet passed through him and fatally struck Mocko, Lincoln County Sheriff Daryl Anderson said Tuesday.

"It was just a total freak thing," said Jeri Mitchell, a friend of Mocko's mother.

Mocko, who lived across the border Canadian border in Fernie, British Columbia, was in town visiting her father and a boyfriend when she was shot, Mitchell said.

True that, the chances of that happening are remote to none. Evidently, my comments were taken out of context - I couldnt't help but to laugh because I do think it's funny in an unusual way. I mean, it truly is sad that he did take her life inadvertently.

I'm not gonna say that this girl had it coming - just at the wrong place at the very worst time. I don't think it's funny that she died not for a minute but it's kinda comical irony that that managed to happen.
