Many MVA's -- icy roads

why so serious
Hope more people will get home safely tonight. The roads weren't bad from Solomons into the ranch club but I almost busted my butt getting out of my vehicle. The gravel driveway is slicker than dog snot.

That's good to hear, I've got to make that trip in a few.

No updates other than I came through right around 6 and it was really slick. I had an SUV about 50 feet in front of me barely save it and passed 3 slide offs and the bad MVA. I was so happy to get home! Not looking forward to the morning commute...

It's getting bad...our road is ice. My driveway is a sheet of ice. That was at 7 and the temp is dropping.

Sounds like all persons in the Dorsey Park MVA went Priority 3 to SMH. So, hopefully everyone is going to be ok.

There is a dip in the road there. Dangerous part of the road. Several years ago there was a double fatal in bad weather. Guy and his GF were coming from LT and on the downhill to that dip he started sliding and went head on into a truck.

Hubby is still stuck right before Edinbourgh Estates. He says he sees sirens right there so there must be something else there as well.

Many accidents in that area, salt truck cannot get going because it is stuck also, tow truck stuck in traffic. Dump truck (stuck) is being delivered chains to start dumping sand. They were talking about making the fire personnel/deputies salting by hand because no salt trucks could get to them. It is a real cluster. Dispatch even called wawa to have them contact the trucks because a deputy saw salt trucks just sitting there. It does sound like progress is being made though. There are multiple accidents to clear up in Golden Beach/Lockes Hill area.
So for all of those stuck in traffic you really are lucky because the road will be treated when they open it back.
