Not gonna lie, I've thought the same thing. Granted, I don't know jack sh*t about it but it seems to me that if we can build nukes that can destroy whole countries we can do something to dissipate, divert, or at least lessen major storm systems.

Of course, that would come with its own problems because Mother Nature typically punishes us for getting too uppity. So never mind - any time the government gets involved it just makes things worse.

The solution is to put Democrats in charge of making Hurricanes stronger.

They'll be a thing of the past in 20 years or less.

I don't know, I don't see it. I think the guy that wrote this article is dealing in an alternate reality. The worst thing the United States of America could do is split up the union. That might work for some things, but that weakens the national defense. And that is really the only reason to have a country. If we had a one world order, there would be no reason for individual countries with individual governments.

Splitting the US up is exactly the wet dream that our adversaries have. Russia, China, Iran, and all of the muslim terrorists would like nothing better than to physically split the country. That's why all of their social media infiltration is aimed at doing exactly that.

What we should be doing is working to come together. There used to be a time where disagreement led to compromise. It worked pretty well for a good period of time. But now nobody is willing to give an inch. We need to get rid of the radical extremes and work toward a compromise that won't be entirely what either side wants, but where both sides get some of what they want. Mostly what Ronald Reagan did.

America has never been invaded by an attempting conquering army. Mainly because of our favorable geography and our heavy military buildup. But our adversaries have figured out they can weaken us from the inside. We can't let that happen. The only way they can beat us militarily is through nuclear war which will basically be a draw and the end of most civilized life on this planet. I don't believe any of the major nations is willing to pull that trigger. Some of the rogue nations may do it, but I believe we would pummel someone like North Korea into dust conventionally should they be willing to launch a nuke. Bottom line is that we are stronger together, even with our differences, than we are apart.

Believe it or not, hurricanes pack enough power to dwarf most of our nuclear arsenal.

Oh, I believe it. But even if we could just shoo it back out to sea....

Anyway, it's a bad idea to screw with nature because it always just makes more problems. It sucks when bad things happen but it's just the way it is and messing with it would likely just make it worse.

If I may ...
For your consideration ...

Not gonna lie, I've thought the same thing. Granted, I don't know jack sh*t about it but it seems to me that if we can build nukes that can destroy whole countries we can do something to dissipate, divert, or at least lessen major storm systems.

Scientists have figured out a long time ago about a phenomena called, "The Global Electric Circuit". If they figured that out, they most likely also figured out on how to manipulate it. Outside of man made weather interventions, when the sun has a Coronal Mass Ejection, (CME), or a proton ejection from a Solar Proton Event (SPE), these massive amounts of energy further charge our Global Electric Circuit atmosphere, and the ensuring induction currents that are channeled through to the poles. These events can change weather patterns, cause massive storms, and cause volcanic eruptions. During a large CME that is directed towards Earth, when it reaches Earth, our magnetosphere gets seriously compressed creating large generations of even more of an atmospheric charge, that has to go somewhere. We can do small things to change the weather, but nothing on the scale of the sun and space weather can do to the Earth.

Pretty sure scientists have figured out how to direct electrical energy from the surface of the earth to alter certain weather actions. Probably by directing extremely powerful radio or microwave energy during certain events. With that, messing with the path of a hurricane by slightly altering the electrical circuit at a given area, is really, not out of the question, and is a distinct possibility. Because remember, all storm clouds are electrically charged, along with the surrounding atmosphere.
