I never realized they went back up. :ohwell:

This is to advise you that Governor Martin O'Malley has ordered the Maryland State Flag AND the U. S. Flag flown at half staff on Thursday, February 28, 2008, from sunrise to sunset. This is in memory of Army Specialist Micheal B. Matlock, Jr. of Severna Park, Maryland, who died on February 20, 2008 in Baghdad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

This action is taken under the Protocol for the Maryland State Flag. Any questions on the above should be directed to the Office of the Secretary of State.
God bless 'em for their service. :patriot:

If the above press release is accurate, MOM just broke the law. Only the President can order the U.S. flag to be flown at 1/2 staff. Gov. has NO authority over the U.S. flag.

IMPEACH HIM!!!!!!!!!!!

The above is NOT to say that I do not feel it is correct to lower the flag in honor of our fallen soldier.
