Which is why many, if not most, have him/her on ignore.
Now I want to know what he said that was more awful than usual.

Which is why many, if not most, have him/her on ignore.
To take a line from C.S. Lewis' Abolition of Man and riff on it: we are amazed to see things like this in the world yet afraid to call it what it is and then wonder why it not only remains, but grows.
What galls me the most is, like the Libs in this country, folks in NZ will learn the entirely wrong lesson here and continue to trample civil liberties (e.g., tighter gun control, more surveillance, etc. - like the UK). All in the name of "freedom."
I get it that your ? was rhetorical....Now I want to know what he said that was more awful than usual.![]()
I think we can safely say they/he was a radical terrorist. That’s not the same as crazy. Can we safely say he's freaking crazy and leave it at that?
Everyone always wants to find a "reason" why people do terrible things, and most of the time the answer is simply, "They are freaking crazy."
My question is: what does this have to do with the US?
The usual suspects have been on Twitter all morning ranting about how this is the US's fault, specifically Trump's fault. My understanding is that it happened in NZ and the perps are Australian. How does Trump play into this?
I get it that your ? was rhetorical....
And apparently here are the things we are going to have to make choices on (as the rot gets increasingly more pervasive):And they will keep getting shot up. Their choice.
One additional point....

I think if you read his manifesto (quoted nicely at length in a post from Chris0nllyn, above) it played out as "radical terrorist." However, "crazy" - or my take, "evil" - is much more likely.I think we can safely say they/he was a radical terrorist. That’s not the same as crazy.

I guess our wonderful President can now claim to have increased at least one category of US exports: hatred inspired violence leading to the deaths of multiple people.
I have also marked Tranny for ignoring. I do enjoy an educated debate, but the garbage being spewed was just way too much. I was even giving allowances for the methane poisoning from cranial rectal inversion, but in the end it was just too much. No, it's that I have him on ignore and can't see his posts.![]()
I continue to internally debate whether it's best to ignore (and thus allow its posts to stand unanswered/un-destroyed) or to engage (and provide something for the record to rebut the cancer/sewage it spreads).I have also marked Tranny for ignoring. And right on queue they have:[F]olks in NZ will learn the entirely wrong lesson here and continue to trample civil liberties (e.g., tighter gun control, more surveillance, etc. - like the UK). All in the name of "freedom."
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said she will change gun laws of the country, with the prime minister noting that the New Zealand government is now looking at banning semi-automatic weapons.
...
The suspected gunman got a “category A” firearms license in 2017, and began stockpiling weapons legally at that point, Ardern told reporters on Saturday. The “mere fact” that this happened means people will want to see a change to gun laws, and she was committed to supporting that, she added.
I don't have a clue, do you?
Watching the news cover this for the last couple days has been consistently amusing but the handwringing is growing tiresome.
Considering the last 40 years of muslim activity, worldwide, when the mosque causualties reach 3-4 million they can start wailing.
Until then![]()
