But they don't suffer the consequences of pornography and adultery which was the topic.

Well, maybe if they no longer have a family because of it. :ohwell:

I appologized for going off topic. I was the culprit.

The article just happened to related to your posting today, and I was suprised/yet not so suprised to read.

Some legal professionals estimate that as many as one-third of all divorces may have their roots in Internet porn or online affairs. “If there’s dissatisfaction in the existing relationship, the Internet is an easy way for people to scratch the itch,” explains J. Lindsey Short, Jr., president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Then when I hit refresh, I saw your post.

From what I have read, many relationships are ruined by the Internet. Some by pornography, some by infidelity started on forums or chat rooms.
I don't think it's so much the internet that's ruined relationships. Yes, people get caught up in internet flirtations that lead to "sealing the deal", so to speak. But the internet is practically my whole life, and I've never cheated on Larry because of it. But I also don't get into the sexy chat and flirty stuff that goes on in here - that is just asking for trouble, in my opinion.

I think if you are prone to infidelity, you'll find it regardless of the venue. If you're not, they can throw you into a room full of naked Tommy Lee Joneses and you'll stay faithful.

True to a degree, but if temptation is not there even the one prone to cheat can't. It takes two or more to be unfaithful.

The venue is more readily available today than ever before because of the Internet.

But temptation is everywhere. And infidelity is as old as time - happened all the time even before the internet was invented. There are stories of infidelity in the Bible - and you know David didn't meet Bathsheba in some chatroom.

True. The Internet just makes sinning easier.
