The owner is renovating it for rental or purchase. Whomever rents it or buys it will do whatever with it. Owner was going to tear it down and put a few apartments there but had issues with Metcom, so it was decided to renovate and either sell or rent. That's all I know........

Technically, Mattie's is in the Lexington Park ZIP code.

Gutted....new roof....the old brick facing taken down....new brick facing put up....

Looks like some good stuff happening to that building, just not sure what it will be, though.

Your absolutely correct bg! It may as well be Ridge. For the record I would much rather it be Dameron, Ridge or better yet, St. James then Lex. Pk.

Anywho....

I think they just painted over the brick front. But I just made a phone call to someone who is always in the know. Sure 'nuff!

I heard a rumor..and take it with a grain of salt of course...that Charlie Pullium's (who cooks at the Pub) brother in law was buying it and turning it into a restaraunt and Charlie was going to go cook there eventually.

It came from someone who works in the pub kitchen with him. :shrug:

I heard the very same thing several post's back but didn't share it... At least the first part. I didn't know Charlie was going to cook there. That's a good thing (that he is staying local). But what will SJP do for a decent cook then?

So in other word's, it's going to be the same thing it was previously. Just cleaned up and under new owners.

Close to home IF we chose to go out so that is cool!

& yes Jamie can cook too.

Ate at SJP tonight. Should have known better. Burgers were overcooked and dry even when ordered as med rare. Anyway, IF charlie leaves, Jamie will be welcomed (JMHO) back w/open arms. Maybe we will go in more too!

But D & C need to do something with their lacking menu. Too Much missing.
