no drilling, higher taxes, and more regulations.

This is going to be fun.

Fortunately, Obama doesn't stand a chance. It is scary to think he got this far. For those too stupid to research the candidates and believe what the media is throwing around, go ahead. You are probably the same person who spends half a paycheck on the hope to win it big, only to be let down each and every time.

Obama is very liberal. McCain is somewhere in between liberal and conservative. As a conservative, I don't think a lot of McCain but it only makes sense that he will appeal to more Americans come election day. Barack Hussain Obama and his wife do not represent the true values of the majority of Americans.

with 1/2 of America not paying taxes, the Dem's have a built in base that will come out and vote. You can't say he has no chance, it a buy out from the beginning. Look at europe to see where we are going.

Its sad.

I wonder if these non-tax paying Americans will be voting Democratic.

ABC News: They Earn $200,000 and Pay No Taxes

New IRS statistics show 7,389 federal tax returns with $200,000 or more in adjusted gross income reported no federal income taxes in 2005. That's a 161% jump from the 2,833 comparable returns filed in 2004.

Additionally, 4,224 of the over-$200,000 earners reported no worldwide income tax liability on their 2005 returns, the IRS data show. That represents a 75% increase from the 2,420 comparable returns filed in 2004.

I'm thinking probably not.

I'm thinking probably not.

Since they avoided the tax liability by donating huge sums to charity, I'm sure they won't be voting Democrat. As the Democrat elite has shown, charity is for suckers.

In order for someone to have no tax liability, they have to donate almost all of their income to charity. Or they could keep that income and pay half of it to an inefficient bureaucracy. Which one do you think benefits society more?

Thanks for linking to a story that proves the opposite of what you intended. :yay:

The opposite of what I intended? Okay. I'm betting they're quite happy with the current tax policies (not paying any taxes), which would be why they wouldn't be inclined to vote Democratic.

So for the story to prove the exact opposite of what I intended, there must be something in there which shows that they are unhappy about not paying taxes...and are thinking a change should remedy that situation.

That's not what I got from the article...but everything's open to interpretation.

Personally, I think everybody who benefits from our country, our government, and especially our military should pay taxes.

Folks, we have the reality base here saying he can't see the tree's because his eyes are closed.

Do you need an education to figure out the rich don't pay any more taxes when tax rates are raised, or lowered? (Historically of course the line is flat)

Your implication is that these are greedy people who are beholden to Republicans. The story shows that they gave to charity, which is the opposite of greed.

The only way to tax them more is to take away charitable giving deductions. I realize that you don't see a benefit in having organizations like the Red Cross, American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, or any number of other organizations. I do see a benefit.

Here's some basic math: If I give $100 to our government, by the time it works it's way down through all the levels, it might buy $5 worth of food for a disaster victim. If I give that same $100 to the red Cross, at least $80 makes it to the people who need it.

But the Dem's can't buy your vote, if they don't tax and spend.

Since some paid taxes over seas on monies earned, you think they should pay it again here ........

so you are all for taxing people with international business 2,3,9 times on the same money ?

Nice Socialist outlook, maybe you would prefer the Gov run all business ... hand them over to Comosol Party members, Eh Commrade ?

I didn't hear the lib's response to this.

He's pretty quick when he thinks the rich guys are robbing us ... but ask for a real solution that doesn't involve sticking his hand into sombody else pocket ... and all is quiet
