McDonalds in Dunkirk

I always refer to the one in Chesapeake Beach as the smallest, nastiest, slowest McD's I've ever been in. I don't think the lady with the open sores works there anymore but the place is still very gross. It's always busy though. There aren't very many "fast food" choices in the area. Anyone want to open something in the area? Does the same person own all of the McD's in Calvert? They are among the worst I've even visited.

I've often thought that Chesapeake Beach / Owings could use a nicer fast food restaurant. The current McD's is the worst I've ever seen, but it's usually busy - so just imagine if a nice, clean one opened up with a drive-thru.

This pic is from an upscale McD's with WiFi, etc.

Do they actually sell veggie burgers in BK? I dont remember seeing that on the menu. Doesn't sound very good when compared to a Whopper but I'll try anything once.

Yes, in fact I tried my first one from a coupon that PETA supplied (no joke).

Mc Donalds has a veggie burger in the UK and Canada (oddly called the McVeggie). I'll pass- wasn't a McD fan when I still ate meat.

Johnny Rockets, Dennys, and Red Robin all offer Boca Burgers now. I must be hungry if I am smelling the grilled onions Johnny Rockets' puts on theirs . Supposedly, you can swap a Boca in any burger on the menu at Red Robin, but I think a Vegan Original on a Bacon Cheeseburger would defeat the purpose. :lmao:

ha, yeah...thats what CIP does. you can get any burger as a veggie burger. I don't know how good they are though, never tried one  (used to work there so i probably should have gotten one while i got a discount lol.)

Bocas are the bomb!

I know some veggies who won't eat them because they are too much like meat.

A nice bit of protein in them for the amount of calories/fat too.

I'm not really understanding this thread. The McDonalds in Dunkirk (one right off of TownCenter Blvd.) is undergoing and has undergone a renovation. You can see that the roof and interior has been redone.

If you look a little carefully you should realize that a Popeyes Chicken is "Coming Soon" right where the old Chesapeake Bank used to be. In addition you have to consider that the new Harris Teeter and town center is coming in. So at the end of the day McDonalds will have to compete with MOD Pizza, Popeyes, Taco Bell and a few others that I'm not mentioning. So from a business perspective it makes sense for McDonalds to posture themselves with a remod.

Now in terms of their business being nasty, in my 7 years of living in Calvert County when it comes to commercial services. You either take it or leave it!!!!!
