As someone who use to work in the meat and seafood section of a grocery store I avoided the meat section of McKays on GMR. Harris Teeter has the cleanest meat and seafood section of any store in St Marys.

The "Shopper's" McKay's has a person making sushi daily, putting it in plastic pacs just like Giant and Harris Teeter. Tried a summer roll, it was ok.

I have to make multiple trips for groceries lately - commissary for milk bread chicken and anywhere else for produce. I want to make one trip today for fruits/veggies - what store do you mostly go to for that?

I do most of my shopping at Aldi. If they don't have something, I'll go to Giant.

I'm doing the clean eating thing for two weeks since I'm going to be jimless and won't really have to cater to anyone but me. Well Joe but I don't eat what he eats anyway. Scavenging for unusual things to keep my interest and really fresh stuff that's not going to rot two days after I drag it home.

HT has a pretty good selection. Check out Southern Maryland Produce on FB. I haven't been there because I don't buy a ton of stuff for just 1 person.

I think there's where I'm going to go. They had strawberries there last week big as golf ball and really sweet - I was kind of surprised that they were so good. Buy one get one free. Win win. Ate the free one and left the one I paid for to rot.

The didn't have anything - I was planning on doing clean eating for two weeks and ended up with fried chicken from Weiss - which was horrible. The fruit selection was much like shoppers was - big waste of time today.

We're spoiled rotten....we get an entire Black Angus animal processed to our detailed instructions every year. A hog too..processed right through to the sausage and scrapple. . But we'll buy pork ribs and butts when they show up for the right sale price ..there are just never enough of either in one hog...
