It doesn't say anything about going between properties unless you have something to attend to like livestock, should I run down to tractor supplies and grab some chicks before it goes into effect at 8pm?

can't imagine being stuck in for months while good work could be getting done that I wouldn't have time for otherwise

What I'd like to see is the People rise up righteous and blatantly flout this edict. Form a gang and everyone go out on the roads - driving, biking, running, have a party or a church service. They can't arrest everyone.

Alas, we've lost the fire of our patriot ancestors.

Unfortunately my boss won't give me one of those "You are Essential" golden tickets, so I'm going to try to work from home this week. It will give me a chance to see how the local Stasi plans on enforcing this edict. If something important comes up at the office, I'll brave the 3 mile drive.

La Plata Lowe’s had 12 trucks in line for mulch this afternoon. The registers were 12-15 deep inside.

Essential worksites are giving their employees documents proving their need to be on the road to get back and for to work should they get pulled over. So yeah, I'd say they are going to have checkpoints/verification pull overs.

It's a vague order at best, enforcement would be subjective and at the officers discretion. The penalties are not worth leaving it up to chance of an officers discretion for if whatever reason they decide to make an example out of you

That's my thinking anyways. The order did mention you can visit a property to secure it I believe. I'm erring on the side of cation that it is not a good idea to just go out and work on my property although you're allowed to "exercise".. I could say I'm going to exercise by doing yard work. However officers discretion... if they decide the reason is not good enough your probably screwed.

I'm thinking your view of this is just a bit tight. No one is going to stop or question people from doing yard work or cutting the grass. They want to discourage going somewhere where there are other people to pass the infection. That won't happen on your own property. Walking and biking are specifically excluded from the stay at home order as long as you maintain separation and in less than groups of 10.
