I love my Dr. but he's a man so how much can they know what your going through.

It's not just 'cuz he's a man. I had a female doc tell me, after doing the labs, that I wasn't going through menopause. That was two years ago. I guess she, and the lab, were wrong.

Yeah, how the hell can you tell you're done? Do you really get "done"?? My mother is in her 60's and hasn't had a uterus for at least 15 years ..... she's still going through this crap. I feel so sorry for her on days!

I know I'm done because I'm not dealing with any of that crap anymore. No cycle, no hot flashes or night sweats, no mood swings.

Im 5 yrs into it, after 15, I would put a bullet in my head. I suppose someday the hot flashes and stuff will go away and just not come back. But like I said, my symptoms come in cycles of about 3 months. Tell your mother I am so sorry for her. Id need a straight jacket.

soo sorry, very busy today. I am 42 and this started a couple yrs. ago but Drs. said no. Now they are coming around to think it is too. I have the dryness, hot flashes in the morning horrible! One thing I get now is a little incontinence. Aggravating. Mood swing isn't bad until period. Had uterine abblation years ago so thats not bad but feel down for a couple days. I just hate the shaky nerves when I have the flashes.
Will talk more later and thanks so much for the support, it really helps talking to others who are going through the same thing. I love my Dr. but he's a man so how much can they know what your going through.

The bladder thing happens to quite a few women whether they have kids vaginally, C-section, no kids, uterus, no uterus. Gravity sure likes to suck our bladders toward the ground. Easy fix is the bladder hammock. :huggy:

What's a bladder hammock?

State of the Art procedures:

The latest advance in the tension-free vaginal slings is the Monarc Transobturator Sling (also called Monarc Subfascial Hammock (TM) or ObTape(TM) trans-obturator tape or TOT). It is less invasive than the other tension free tapes because the transobturator approach eliminates potential complications that stem from blindly passing a large needle carrier through the retropubic space

If I had a window in my stomach I would show you :lmao:

I've been needing to fully address this issue for more than a year now. I'm just so scared of surgery. Guess it'll be better than this crummy alternative.

It takes 20 minutes and you are back in the recovery room. No stiches, just two small holes where your thigh top crease is. Piece of cake. :flowers:

A little squirt here and there isnt worth an operation. Pantie liners.

I've heard some ladies say they got through it but I have heard some say its been quite a while. Boy do I hope I get through it. My dr. told me to do the Kegal exercises like when you are prego. but that hasn't worked too good and forget to use them.
I think I'll go to GNC and check into some of the multivitamin stuff for menopause. I have a friend who didn't have a period for a long time then one day out of the blue, wham. NOw every month. Boy was she pissed.
I quit the coffie in the mornings this week and it seems to have helped a little bit.
Thanks guys. Funny how years ago you were too embarrased to even bring it up. Now if you mention it, theres a crowd. :howdy:
