Metrocast Problems

Anyone experiencing problems with movie channels? We get all local channels, but the movie channels (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, etc.) have been coming & going since last Tuesday. Metrocast has hit each of our boxes twice - once for a few seconds and the second time for about an hour. What's up with this? :confused:

I didn't have any problems last week, but don't know about the weekend. I've been gone since Friday afternoon and didn't get back until late last night. I don't like their new guide, though. Azzwipes.

Have you called them yet and told them who the hell you are? :burning:

I was getting the movie channels last week, but never signed up for them. But now they are gone. I wouldn't mind if they came back though.

Did you call? Did they tell you that you were on their "old" settings and somehow didn't transfer to the "new" settings? That's the speel the lady gave me. It'll be a week tomorrow that the channels have been eff'd up.

Deduct the percentage of your premium channel loss for the month from your payment when you send it in. That'll get their attention. :yay:

Did you change the Premium Filters after we changed the clocks??

If you didn't get the card in the mail to install the new filters, I think you can call them and they can do it over the phone.

Just tell them you still have the Eastern Standard Time filters, and you need the '06 Daylight Savings Time Filter installed.

Jameo, our problem happened to be our DVR. Day and I drove to their office last night to replace the box and now all is good. Not sure if you have a DVR, but if so, you might want to look into it.

Told ya it was the filters.. you exhanged your DVR for one with the new filters.. they could have done that over the phone if you had asked them to.

Suffered 2 outages this week, cable, internet and phone all went out, last night for 2 1/2 hours. Try to call the 800 customer service line, it's busy the whole time. New to the area and thought they'd be an all right company. Guess i'll deduct the time of no service from my bill and see what happens. Maybe someday we'll get Fios or Verizon in Mechanicsville.

What does everyone else use?

There was a fire last night, or so I heard. I believe that was the cause of the outage.

We use Direct TV.
