MHP - ‘Hard Worker’ Is Offensive Term Due to Slavery

I'd watch Megyn Kelly if she didn't insist that literally everything shocking and outrageous. I guess people like her because she's pretty hot. I watched her for a few weeks but her shtick got old, fast. And that woman is as bad at race baiting as Melissa Harris-Perry.

I'm no Kelly fan. I'm with you on the 'everything shocking and outrageous' about her. She could talk about puppies frolicking in the snow and report it as though the world is coming to an end.

BUT... can you give any examples of where she is a race-baiter?

You know, when I first saw this article in the news a while back, I tried to imagine how the phrase "hard worker" - a term of praise I've heard applied to people all my life - could at all be construed as "racist".

And I thought, ok, racists are always saying that minorities don't work or don't work very hard, so it must be racist to say it as to draw a distinction. You know, if applied to a minority it would mean "he's not like the others" and if not, to suggest that a white person works hard and the others don't.

And then I saw that somehow it is offensive because it conjures up images of slavery, as if to say in all of human history, the only people who EVER worked hard were slaves in the old South.

I guess I'm too far away to even understand it. I can't even GUESS how people think.

For starters: "Santa is white, he just is". She can claim that was a joke all she wants but she was drop dead serious.

Every time there's a white person killed and it's on her show, Megyn Kelly always makes it about race, just like the Al Sharptons of the world. Even when it's not about race. Or when some obscure "Civil Rights activist" says something about something being racist, Megyn has to spent 10 minutes outraged over it.

I call her Princess Shocked Face for the way she always has a look of horror on her face. She'd be outraged if doctors found a cure for cancer.

Based on the ratings, nobody listens to her. MSNBC can't ####can her soon enough. Honestly, her antics take away from everything MSNBC is trying to do in terms of rebuilding credibility and becoming a news channel again. I've enjoyed Brian Williams and Kate Snow. And, since I'm progressive, I like Matthews, Maddow and O'Donnell.

Aim to unite America? The country is more divided than at any point dating back to the Civil War.

Alternative energy? All he's done is wage a war on coal and make us EVEN MORE dependent on Middle East oil.

Regulations on Wall Street? HA HAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHA HA HA HAHA oh he ha! And I thought my jokes were bad.

No more foreign policy of intervention? Arab Spring , Libya and Syria.

I could keep going at this list all day. That ####### may have done the unthinkable in his eight years and turned me into a Republican.
