He'll probably only serve 6 of it...

Federal Prison doesnt have parole, they say he will have to do all of the time, but may get out three months early for good behavior. In addition he still hasnt been charged at the state level, hopefully he will get even more time there.

On a side note, It doesnt appear the falcons have 21 on their helmets tonight, am I just missing it, does anyone else see it?

Every time Vick could have done himself some good, he lied or failed to take responsibility for his actions. Vick, admitted to hanging 2 dogs, but had denied for months that he was personally involved in the killing of the animals, and I believe his conflicting statements were a big factor in the more severe sentence. I personally don't think he can ever recover from this.

The time sounds about right to me. Its a vicious cold blooded crime that gives some light on the character and emotional make-up of the perpetrator, its obvious Michael Vick is not a nice man.

However he may be able to use this to become a better human.More time would not have served a great purpose.

From what I remember, all of the NFL teams were wearing #21 only the weekend after Sean Taylor passed away. Only the Redskins will continue to keep it on their helmets for the rest of the season.

He's a celebrity. Has he been paroled yet?

They dont get parole in Federal prison, just time off for good behavior. The news said the most time he will have knocked off off his sentence is 3 months so he will have to serve at least 20 months.

Hopefully he will still be charged at the state level and get even more time! I dont think 23 months is long enough. Maybe 23 months for each dog they found at his house would have been sufficient. He is such an azz!
