Microwave Eggs

I had this and turkey sausage patty for breakfast this morning. I have the microwave egg poacher at home. I cooked the egg the night before, then put it in a glad bowl with my sausage and a piece of cheese. Got to work this morning, toasted a bagel thin, nuked the egg and sausage, assembled, topped with cheese and ate.

I flatten the yolk before I nuke it, so it looks like something from McD's.

I'm wanting to make eggs/turkey bacon sandwich at work...anyone know the best way to microwave eggs? I know the boring scrambled eggs, but I was wondering if you could make them any other way in the microwave?

TIA :buddies:

instead of microwaving the egg, microwave a cup of water and poach the egg after..

Yeah, how hot does the cup of water have to be? do you spin the water or something like that? I've never made poached eggs, but am a fan !!

Boiling.. and depends if you are looking for a artsy swilry egg or just a cooked egg I guess..

Chiseling is no fun, and not to mention the smell. An all purpose plastic microwave cover for a $1 at the $ store is one of the best weapons I have in my kitchen. I do want to add a tip for times that a microwave becomes encrusted. Put a wet sponge/cloth in the microwave for a minute, and then wipe it down. It is so much easier to get the crud off, once it has been steamed.

Great idea!:yay:

Or lemon juice which leaves a nice lemony smell as well.

Hmmm... pleasant hot lemon, or hot vinegar stinking up the house.....

I think I'd opt for the lemons! Maybe add some orange and lime, use it as a room deodorizer too!

Smell like an orchard...

Or a brothel...

Your choice..

This makes me think of my office at lunch time. There is one particular individual who has an afinity for Buffalo wings and feels the need to blast them in the microwave until they're as hot as the surface of the sun. I liken it to being hit with OC gas. I have a small electric fan I use as a breathing apparatus.

OK this is how I do it.

I have a 3 inch tupperware container and I give it a spritz of Pam.
Break the eg into it and give it a light scramble, salt and pepper.
Nuke for 35 seconds.
Take out and use fork to make sure it is free.
put ham/bacon/saisage on top of egg in the container and top that with cheese
Nuke for about 20 more seconds.
Take out and put english muffin cut side down in containerontop of melted cheese.
Turn container upside down and quickly bang it on cutting board
Egg, ham, cheese are siting perched on top of the bottom english muffin perfectly.
apply top and munch.
