Microwave repair?

Anyone have # of person/ shop that could repair a microwave?

I realize it's probably easier to replace it, but my folks are partial to this one -therefore taking this path first.

Mark's in the LP area used to do that sort of thing, but the cost of repair usually exceeds the cost of replacement by a considerable amount.

I have heard horror stories about Mark's Electronics. Just do a search of the forums.

As for your question... Check Amazon for the exact make and model then purchase new. Safer and will be cheaper in the long run.

Look up the model and see if there is a fuse in it that you can replace.

It might be the main fuse. Open it up and take the old fuse out. I did this to one of my units. Match up the fuse at McKays (they have everything there in the hardware section), replace it and it might solve the problem.

One important tip. Make sure the covers are all back on before you turn it on. If you test it with the cover off, an errant wave could blind you.
