Just think of the job security for all those State Department folks - in all nations concerned - and the charades which may lead to longevity for the politicians. What's real? Certainly not peace, in the region we're discussing. Among the things that are real, we have senseless attacks on innocents; danger to which non-participants are exposed; expenditures we can ill afford of all sorts of resources; and some assurance that the flailing around will continue for the foreseeable future. And Iraq crumbles and regresses as we speak; so much for our efforts to free the people and rebuild the nation. Who's fooled by all of this? Too many Westerners, I fear.

Exactly.

Kerry is the PERFECT man for this job;

"We will continue to work tirelessly, no matter the doubt, the cynicism, no matter how impossible the task may seem, we shall try every avenue, redouble our efforts, push forward. We shall not be deterred by the fact that this IS an impossible task and no ####ing way in hell we are going to be able to do anything, as we've learned long, long ago, to help this peace process along. However, that is the key, here, 'process'. Our efforts, our work, goes on at even the slightest hint that what we do here might give peace a chance. So, the process goes on. And on. And on because, at the end of the day that IS the job and, hey, jack, this is one kewl mother ####ing gig. Peace out."
