Great morning for staying in bed just a little bit longer than normal. No urgency to get up and get back to the grind.

We need this rain, April was the driest April we had in years. The farmers have planted and the stuff just will not come up without the rain.
I have been watering my tomato's . The next couple of days will be like this.

I spent the morning getting some things done. Laundry, cleaned out and descaled the Keurig, spotted a couple of ants by the window in the kitchen, so I put out some bait.

I had major infestation of ants past couple of years. Finally found that the little buggers had bored tiny holes thru the mortar between the bricks and got into the house. Closely examined the brick looking for ant trails and holes, drilled the holes out larger, pumped it full of ant killer and plugged the holes with mortar. Combined with a pro exterminator we finally got rid of them in the house.

We do need the rain. I'm doing a bit of housekeeping before my niece and her boyfriend come over so he can put in my window shakers. Then we are going for hard crabs.

Something I just learned for ants: shallow bowl with sugar and baking soda. I put it outside under the kitchen window on the generator box. In 2 days, NO Ants! Amazing. Just try it.

This was much needed but still not enough- only .11” at the farm this morning. I planted field corn last week so this will get it out of the ground. Would like to plant soybeans this week but may need more rain first.

My area had .51" this morning. Gurps said it poured by him. Tracked a bit north.
