(Tampa-AP) -- A convicted sex offender is behind bars once again after he allegedly returned a missing girl while her mother was in the process of filming a television appeal to find her.

Cameras were running yesterday when the nine-year-old Tampa girl, who had been missing for five hours, was dropped off at the apartment complex. She ran tearfully ran into her mother's arms.

Police chased after a blue Toyota minivan that had dropped off the girl. They arrested passenger Martin Ray Morris.

The owner of the minivan told police he didn't know Morris. He says he had picked up the man and the girl at a gas station. Morris told the man the girl was his daughter.

Records indicate Morris was released from state prison last year after serving 14 of 30 years for rape, kidnapping and robbery charges. He had been free on bond since August 22nd, awaiting trial in a carjacking and aggravated assault case.

If it's a repeat, my apologies.

Yet again proof they need to kill these maggots instead of letting them go free to re-offend.

I bet the media was wetting themselves over being to get that one on film.

Too bad they won't fry the maggot.

The driver was lying. If he thought the girl was the man's daughter, why were they letting her out into a media frenzy?

Not dead yet.
Fry 'em or not, 30 years should mean 30 years, not 14. Of course that would mean alot more maggots in storage, but better there than on the street grabbing more little girls. What we need to consider as a society is which is more important/valuable: Protecting our citizens or saving the money is costs to house people like this for their whole sentence.

I don't remember where I read it, but a study came out about 5 years ago showing that it actually costs MORE to put someone to death than it does to keep them in prison for life. Dayum lawyers charge too much.

Easily explained away by these smooth talkers:

"my wife and I are separated and I HAVE to get my daughter back right away and I ran out of gas. Can you help me?"\

Scary.........

It's a result of all the appeals they're allowed and usually by a lawyer that gets paid by the government.

Limit any death sentence to an automatic to the Supremes and

ttthhh tthhh tthat's all folks!
