I must also post, we had answered an add on somd.com someone looking to give Harley and his brother BUDDY (LAB MIX) a good home due to having a new baby in the house. We have only had the two since March 20th and adding them to the family of our two hotdogs (penny & ginger 10/28/06), they have brought us much more happiness. Of course I have had to make the call to the original owners, havent spoken with them as of yet.

Bohden, I am truly sorry for your loss. When I was younger many moons ago, I got a Sheltie from a family and about 2 months later she got into some rat posion behind a friends fridge and died. I know how hard that call will be for you. My heart goes out to you. Harley had to go look after your hotdog so he wouldnt be lonley :flowers: :huggy:

So sorry to read this and for your loss, Bohden.
You are lucky that you can bring him home and that the state did not pick him up.. I lost my dog of 12 years this past August and the state picked him up... After calling around for two, three days, we found out that they had his collars. That's how we found out we lost him to being hit. I miss him so much and wish I could have brought him home where he belongs.
:huggy: to you and your family.

Finishing last
You know what, man or woman I don't care. :huggy: for you. I weep like a baby when I lose a Dog. In fact I waited over a year to get the one I have now. After losing my first dog I didn't feel like going through that again. I finally decided my life was better with a K9 friend in it.

Condolences.

That Sasha is now sleeping on my foot. She moved over so Tuggy could lay next to momma.

Well, with very sad news Harley has been found. He had been hit been hit by a vehicle and severly damaged. I didnt mention he was gone for a few days, but he looked like he had been there for a couple of days. Thank you all for your wishes. He will be so badly missed. Guess hes in doggie heaven playing with Ginger his little hotdog sister.

I guess it was better that we found him, to say goodbye & to give him the proper burial, than for state road pick him up and dispose of him.

HARLEY YOU WILL BE MISSED SO MUCH! RIP MY FRIEND :bawl:
I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

That is wonderful that you were able to offer you heart and home to another dog that needed it. Harley is in a good place and he knew that he was loved. There appears to be a beautiful Siberian Husky at Tri-County Animal Shelter looking for a home. Looks like she needs a home with no small children though so if you know of anyone looking for one please point them in that direction if you can. Once again very sorry for your loss. :flowers:

So sad. When I was a kid, our Husky got loose. He "only" suffered a broken hip and ended up living a long life, albeit with a limp and a fear of cars. Given the chance, Huskies will run and run.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a pet is the most difficult thing to handle but I hope Sasha brings you many years of happiness.
