Missing/Lost Dog - Mechanicsville Area

MISSING/LOST ... MECHANICSVILLE, MD. -- Please be on the lookout for Hera, a medium compact (approx 40 lbs) FRIENDLY pit, who got lost near Bert's Restaurant in Mechanicsville. She's been missing since about 8:00 a.m. Monday morning. She is mostly black with a little white on her chest and neck area. PLEASE if you find her call 443-532-5405 or 240-925-0628. Thank you!

Good luck Tes. She looks like a sweetie. Please let us know when you find her. Check daily, if possible with Tri-County. It doesn't help to give the description over the phone, or to even give them a picture. You really have to check!

I go thru that area 2x a day, going to and coming home from work. I'll keep my eyes peeled for her. Please let us know if you get her back. Good Luck finding your missing girl. :yay:

also, call the humane society and leave a lost report if you haven't already. 301-645-8181. you can also check to see if anyone's left a lost dog report too, thats what i did.

Thanks everyone for keeping an eye out. Still no news on her. Flyers have been posted and all local businesses notified as well as vets, animal control and humane society. I've posted her on all of the classified listings I can think of and check the 'found' dog sections. She was wearing a collar so hopefully she isn't caught in some brush. She is microchipped. Please keep looking along the roads and any bullentin boards in the stores in the area. Thanks.

Hi Tes, just checking to see if you found your girl yet? I've been looking for her when I go by that area everyday, but havent seen her. I'm hoping its because she is back home safe and sound.

Hi, thanks so much for continuing to look. Still no word at all on any sightings. :( Still holding out hope. Thanks again.

Received a message about a possible sighting - "Brick home between Thompson's Seafood and Mechanicsville Elementary school, she crossed over the highway and was seen running there." Please keep an eye out if you're traveling in that area and call immediately - 443-532-5405 or 240-925-0628. Thank you.

If you haven't found your dog yet, you might want to give this person a call: Charlie at 301.343.7005.

He posted on the Tri County Animal Shelter website's "Lost & Found" page that he found a "medium sized friendly black & white dog" yesterday 9/21/11. No other description provided. Worth a try maybe?

Thanks for the info. I called and it was not her but good to hear that the owner was located and they have been reunited. :yahoo:

Thanks, everyone, for looking no matter where you live or go. She may have been picked up and transported to Calvert or further south in St. Mary's. I have been made aware that there are dog-fighting groups in both areas. :bawl: There is a reward for her return or information leading to her location.
