C_Jo needs your help, please.
I think I got this right:
His stall shower was leaking and he pulled the whole thing out, along with the top layer of sub-floor. The 2nd layer is full of mold
and he can see it between the layers around the shower area, but doesn't know if the entire floor is moldy.
Can he get away with not replacing the subfloor in the whole bathroom since the source of the mold is gone? (And if so, what does he need to treat it with -- bleach? primer?) Or is mold bad news and will take over the entire house if untreated?
He was planning to replace the floor, but just the top layer.
I think that's the whole question.
Anybody have an answer or a suggestion or just want to join the thread because it's about C_Jo and mold?
TIA.
