The best pizza ive ever had down here was from the old montana's. Not the one on sandgates but the one at the end of clover hill rd, before they got shut down. That was by far the best pizza. Mama mia's up in waldorf is awsome to.

I dotn really like mom and pops pizza. And it sure as hell doesnt taste like pizza from NY.

When are we going? :flowers:

Seriously though, different people like different styles of pizza. So, I never listen to anybody who says that so-and-so makes "the best" pizza. Oh, and about this:

...the prices are out of this world. The 3 pizzas I got only ran me $48!!!! AND they had 3 toppings on them each!
You're right. Those prices are out of this world...that's astronomical!

Man, I tell ya. I don't know what kind of sausage they put on the pizza but it is really good - SO full of flavor. Pepperoni is standard stuff.... but you want to know what really separates this pizza apart from others s- IMO- the crust!

I mean - it has some kind of a garlic flavor or something to it. And it tastes like of like yeast rolls... Ya know how (when eating Domino's or Hut's pizza) you throw the crust down when finished eating the good stuff off of a slice? Its mainly because the crust really doesn't have any flavor. NOT the case with Mom and Pop's pizza. This crust is off the wall good!!

Then the cheese. PLEASE dont ask for extra because you do NOT need extra. It seems all pizzas come with extra anyways.

The sauce...not sure what brand it is or if it is home made...its delicious. Thats all i know.

Toppings are of fresh ingredients - it seems. No pre-frozen junk that was thawed out and cooked on afterwards.

Overall, the pizzas are well balanced between amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings. The 18 inchers are pretty darn big and the slices are cut (seemingly) NY style. i usually just cut them into smaller slices here at the house.

Anyways...hope this helps a little with explaining what the pizzas are like

OK...I am totally there this week...sounds damn good to me!

And whoever gave me the red karma obviously has no idea what :sarcasm:
is! Spazz...

Chicago Deep Dish.... That is all.

That's damn good stuff too! But would have to take the NY style over it though. I went to Chicago one time and went to this authentic deep dish place....pretty friggin good! A little too thick for my taste, but still good.

What makes you an authority on pizza? I totally agree about Domino's a Pizza Hut...but you need to give some history and backround that says you know what your talking about. I am from northeat NJ, about as close as you can get to the pizza capital of the united states, and I can tell you there is no pizza place that I know of around here that comes close to anything from NY or northern NJ.

I have not yet been to this Mom and Pop place though, so I guess I will have to check it out.

obviously he is the authority because he paid $48 for some bread and sauce with a little meat/veggies/cheese on top! :bigwhoop:

I hate to be the one to give you the bad news, but I saw a DiGiorno truck back up to the place.

Yup. Mom & Pops has good pizza. I've only had 4 in my life that are better. Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, those goofy little pizzas in the frozen food section of Giant, and any other pizza that will come to my house. :yay:
