That assumes they know how to count change. They struggle to make the correct change when the register tell them the amount. I have more dimes and nickels than I should because somehow the calculus required to know how a quarter fits into the equation is beyond some people's level of understanding. Likely these are the same people that can't spell, write in cursive, or tell time on a clock which has minute and hour hands.
And count back the change, not just hand it over? :yay:

That's the ransom money you promised me? I wasn't going to be too concerned with it being off a few bucks either way. You didn't send home office my name...right?
Oh. There was a cop K-9 unit there, so he said he'd run it down for me.

While in NYC for a training module, back in '87, I tried to hire "a wife for the night" . Not only was it a male vice detective in drag, I lost my security clearance, job, got a divorce, and this painful infection.
Just one question. How did you get an infection from a male vice detective?

Just saw where the National Archives is looking for people that can read cursive to translate pages of information that no one can read.

I've scoured through many genealogy and census records, and almost all of them are written in cursive.

If you're thinking about launching a new business, one thing that can set you apart is making your pitch super clear. An AI retail one-pager could help lay everything out in a simple way, showing potential partners or investors exactly what your idea is about. Sometimes, people get bogged down in too much detail, but a well-structured one-pager makes it easier to get your point across quickly and effectively.
