Well, so is song writing.

Let's take Marty Robbins song, "A white sport coat" (and a pink carnation... 1958)
a sad song about a young guy getting "spiffied up" for the prom with his girlfriend but gets dumped....

Fast forward, 2024..... well, NO .... impossible..... High School prom is Racist, sexist, misogyny, white privilege, prom???? anti-___________,
But, if the lyrics were re-written, 2024 : feel free to jump in..

Taylor Swift's song "Better Than Revenge" has been changed on her re-release of the album.

The original song featured the lyrics, “She’s not a saint, and she’s not what you think/She’s an actress, whoa/She’s better known for the things that she does /On the mattress, whoa.” In Swift’s newest release, the last lines were edited to, “He was a moth to the flame/She was holding the matches, whoa.”

Can't be misogynistic, yeah know.
