More shenanigans and tomfoolery on rt 235

So yesterday about 730 PM I was just getting back in town as I was driving down 235 near walmart I heard all kinds of horns and saw the right lane stopped. Turned out someone in the right travel lane missed the first turn off to walmart and decided to stop in the travel lane and wait until they could get into the turn lane at the absolute last minute instead of going down 100 yards to the other Walmart entrance.

Just wanted to make the observation that I missed all the shenanigans on the road for the last week.

They probably knew that they have to use that entrance to get all the good handicapped spots.

I kind of saw the opposite, person pulls out of Wally World at the light by Chesledine, pulls into the right lane and stops, waits for space in the middle lane scoots over and stops... apparently they wanted to turn at Town Creek Dr.
Bad enough they did it in the right lane, then they cut traffic in the middle lane which was moving faster. But thankfully the rush hour raiders were driving defensively and didn't send the idiot to the next world.

I'll just say that I'm so glad that I don't have any reason to drive any farther down 235 than the light at Shady Mile. That is all. :yay:

Maybe they should have:ohwell:
IMHO what keeps these fools doing it is knowing most people don't want to be involved in a collision so they are doing their best to avoid them.
Given that, a jerk can feel safe working on he assumption you will stop to let them in.

Something is to be said for driving a big hole piece of crap.

Today's lesson in foolery and *******ry

White civic in middle lane, in front of me, heading south on 235 keeps putting right blinker on as we slow down, then takes it off when traffic resumes. Get to Jiffy Lube and now I guess they decided they wanted to get into the right turn lane for real, so as traffic slows, they put the blinker on and as they stop start that move right - but wait, slow rolling Tundra with I'm a Retired CPO stops right next to her. Leaving a bout three car lengths between him and the vehicle in front. Like WTF, where in the rule book does it say leave 10 car lengths between you and the car in front of you when stopped at a traffic light.

I really need to get a dash cam. This little nitwit wasn't on 235, but on base.
Black car, blacked out windows, comes rolling down the hill from the direction of the Exchange.
Light turns red but they keep making the LEFT. A few MPH faster and they probably would have hit the jersey barriers

Was is there never a cop around when you need one. Last I checked in my rear view the car was trying to make a U-turn to get out of there but with traffic moving not sure when they will get that chance.

Haha. This morning was on 235 south (I hate it when I have to drive that in the AM) and saw a silver Ford Explorer weaving in and out of traffic. Cutting people off. Using the turn lane to get ahead of everyone.

Caught up to them at the light on St. Andrew's Church/Rte 4......... maybe it was his laptop that was distracting him. Or even the radio calls??

Yep.. it was one of our very own Sheriffs driving like a doucher

I'm simply astounded every single day. Drove the wife to Wildwood every day last week. Spent most of the morning and afternoon commute with my jaw in my lap.

There have been so many stupid/inconsiderate/self-centered drivers lately that I just ignore them now. I notice them, maybe mutter something under my breath, then quickly return to my own driving. Just not worth raising my blood pressure.

At the light on Rt.5 North and Rt. 6 this morning. I made the left and waiting at the red light to go straight onto 6. I was in the lane thats designated straight thru, on my left was a pick up truck with his signal on to turn onto S/B 5. The light turned green, I started moving and out of no where...ON THE SHOULDER comes a white pick up truck that almost clipped my front end when he blasted in front of me.

I have two thoughts when this happens, I hope the DON"T get into an accident, only because I don't want to be trapped for hours and WHERE are the cops when this crap is going on.
Word must have gotten out that the MSP wasn't sitting by the Toyota dealership. Seeing more and more vehicles get into the turn lane back by Exploration Drive and then fly up the shoulder cutting in right at the light at Wawa.
Then they get back in the turn lane on the other side of the light.

I have nothing to add to this.

But "shenanigans" and "tomfoolery" are both in my top ten favorite words, so I felt like I had to contribute something. Even something as meaningless as this post.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled tread.
