What's the difference between the 'warning' and 'watch'? Which one means it's been seen?

All of the sudden it is silent. There is a cloud out my front door as far as the eye can see with a reddish color.

If they put out a watch, you watch the puck out cause it is coming your way. A warning is just saying it "could" happen.

'Warning' means take action NOW. A watch is saying conditions are favorable.

Are you watching channel 7? They just did the neighborhoods that were in the area of the storm.

I don't think PF is...not yet. We're getting a bit of a storm but radar looks like it's going through just a bit north of us.

Channel 4 says one thing and 7 says another about warnings.

means that a tornado has been sighted or indicated by
weather radar and it is time for you to take shelter.

When I logged off here last night, I flipped on Channel 7, and watched the storm dance from Clinton across Brandywine through Baden then on it's way to Calvert, which was when I fell asleep.
