He knows exactly what he's doing.

In a brief telephone interview with Reuters, Aitken said, "I am not at liberty to discuss the complaint unless it is a paid-interview situation."

I would so love to be on the jury for one of these "I'm an idiot" lawsuits.

:yeahthat: I had the chance for one, but I wasn't picked. Apparently that one, a guy ran a stop sign and t-boned a mini-van with a family in it and paralyzed two people inside.

But yea, for a simple lawsuit like this, I really wish they'd somehow get a law on the books making it illegal for lawyers to tie up the legal system with chit like this. Effin' retawded and lazy folks trying to make and easy dollar. I thought that that's what unions are for?

One has to wonder how many of these lawsuits would see the light of day if plaintiff's were required had to reimburse legal and court costs to the defendant if they lost. Filing a complaint just to force an out of court settlement should also carry penalties ($$$). I am sure that is really what this guy is looking for more than a court date.

He's a paralegal. Probably couldn't find a lawyer stupid enough to do the case so he's going solo. Just a guess.
