Most Memorable Birthday

Dymphna

Loyalty, Friendship, Love
I've had a number of birthdays where I've had a nice time, the last one for example, but none that really stand out. As a kid, since my b-day is in the summer, none of my school friends ever came :ohwell: which meant they were usually family things with the cousins. To this day, my parents usually have a cookout every year in July and invite the cousins.

I remember as a kid, my parents used to take the immediate family to Farrell's (was that in Landover?? :yikes:) for their free birthday sundae and then a movie. We did that 2 or 3 years.

 mine have been pretty ordinary....when I was little, I'd invite my friends over, and in high school I just had dinner with my family..

18th birthday -- didn't have any classes because Great Mills HS had a bomb threat that day....spent most of it outside with my friends, since it was my birthday, someone loaned me their coat

20th birthday -- stands out because I decided to host a small dinner party, I cooked spaghetti & baked a cake.....and I got my first (and only) 'birthday' flowers from my boyfriend at the time

21st birthday -- stands out only because I got my wisdom teeth out the next morning, but the next week I got to go to several bars.....

Can't wait 'til my 23rd because I'll have my degree by then!

Mine would be my 13th. My mom and dad had a gorilla deliver a bouquet of balloons to me at school.

On my 16th - My family had a surprise party for me. I came home walked down the steps into our basement and about half way down the steps I noticed the smell of my boyfriends cologne (Keep in mind my parents had no idea I had a boyfriend). Anyway, I shouted out "Dave" you can come out now I know your down here. I can smell you. To my surprise I heard the snickering of about 60 people. My mom ran to turn the lights on to keep me from saying anything else that might get me in trouble. Lights came on - People Shouted Surprise. Classic!!

10th - Went to DC and stopped at Chi-Chi's on the way home. I got a huge sombrero and a frozen cake.

12 - My sister was hospitalized with the flu

13 - A relative was in re-hab :ohwell:

14 - Didn't suck, I had a party.

16 - Got real drunk in the Flattops (G/D I was stupid) and threw up all over my bedroom

21 - My mom threw a party I didn't want, I had a fight with my bf at the time and went to someone else's party with my cousin. :ohwell:

I hate birthdays.

I used to go there too. Landover is correct.

What was your most memorable birthday?

The year that my parents got me my first computer.
I was so excited I started dancing.

We got a video of that - Here's a small clip:

My 34th (I think), drank to a blackout and don't remember a thing but everyone that was there said I had one hell of a time and that they wished that they could have had as much fun.

My baby Ryan helped bury my grandfather on his birthday last year.... I guess for me - I think it was when I turned 21. My first husband threw a suprise party. At the time I wasn't thrilled but now, I appreciate it.

A bit :offtopic: but I once had a Christmas where my b/f (at the time) wrapped up clothes I had purchased (for myself about a week prior) and gave them to me. When asked where he purchased them, I got an: "I don't know!" :lmao:
