1700 sq feet bill was over 400 dollars. Keep it 64 and 60 when no one is home. Bill has never been this high. Ever! Idk wtf is going on.

Mine was over $550 this month, 2 story house with a finished basement too. During the day, we tend to keep it low like you since we are in and out at all hours. Winters can up into the $700's for me

Wood stove, 1200 sq ft, usually 75ish though out the house except the living room where it can get a bit warmer. Electric bill this month was 61.33. We also have a heat pump but rarely ever use it during the winter.

2k square feet house. Gas furnace. Keep it around 67 degrees. Bill was $138.00. And I haven't used the wood stove. I live in central Maryland and have BGE for gas and electric.

1400 sq ft house heat pump and electric everything. Thermostat stays at 76° 24/7.
Dec/Jan bill was $235.74 for a 33 day billing period.

If you have a heat pump as your sole heat you should just set a temperature and then leave it alone. Lowering it at night, or when no one is home, just causes the back up heat to come on when you put it higher which raises your bill.

$219 for a 1000 sq ft ranch. Last month it was $218. Confused as to why it is basically the same price when no one was home for half of this last billing period.

I don't care what mine was. We were comfortable!

I have gas heat so I figure that cold snap we had caused everyones heat pumps to work overtime AND NO ONE PAYS ATTENTION TO THAT.

and will beyotch that their bill was higher. Just because your house was set to 67 doesnt mean that it didnt run less. It ran more to keep your house at that temp. :banghead:

oohhh and xmas lights will jack up your bill.... even the lighted xmas tree... :killingme

Mine was $388 for 1,700 SF on a crawlspace. I did notice that the rate went up from last month, not just usage. I think this month's is going to be just as bad if not worse.
