Clamp the CTs on the (2) power feeder conductors.

Plug those into the transmitter.

Link transmitter to display, and bam, done.

Yep, that's all there is to it. The clamp on current transformers is a big part of what makes these nice to use. There is no need to remove any existing electrical wires. Take the cover off the main breaker panel, find the two big wires going to the main breaker, put one clamp around one wire and the other clamp on the second wire. Then plug in to the wireless transmitter. Turn on the receiver and you're in business.

Just saw this on WTOP:

"WASHINGTON -- Layers just haven't been enough this winter, so people have cranked the heat and left it on.

Now comes the sticker shock.

From September through January, the average residential bill was markedly higher than the previous year across the region. "

Ark, if you pay mines this month I will pay your next month. Just think if we all pay it forward we won't have to pay your own bill.

no way, your house is twice or more the size of mine - I'll keep my bill - speaking of, I hope I recall my password this time, it's time to pay SMECO again.

Wood stove, 1200 sq ft, usually 75ish though out the house except the living room where it can get a bit warmer. Electric bill this month was 61.33. We also have a heat pump but rarely ever use it during the winter.

Have a woodstove, 1K sq ft. house, when it's cranked, heats the whole house, but now a PIA... Back in the day, enjoyed cutting wood and splitting...

Nowadays not so much. Considering a pellet stove or converting to a gas fireplace? Any thoughts on your current situation or recommendations?
