Mother

We never know when it is going to happen.. I lost my mom 11 years ago and I thank god I was with her the day before and it was a good day... To get that phone call and rush to a hospital only to arrive to late... You never get over it.. I wish I could talk to her or see her in person not just in my dreams.. so much has changed. If you are lucky enough to have your mother here with you call her, go and see her and take her to dinner whenever you can.. Because it is hard to visit her at the gravesite. God bless all the Mothers and Fathers of the world...

Thanks a lot, whome. I cried when you first posted it, now I was dumb enough to read it again and get teary eyed all over again. :bawl:

I'm thankful that my family has always been really close. My brother & I both always made the effort to see our parents once a week when we all still lived in NY. Now I'm here, my brother is in SC and my Dad has passed away. So it's more important than ever to talk to my Mom a lot. Thanks to our little boy, she has good reason to visit fairly often. I need to get up to NY too.

I know that all too well now. When I was married I hardly ever saw my parents even though I only lived 20 minutes away. It was just from being busy with my own life and family. I'm glad last year I spent every Sunday with my dad during football season. We had alot of laughs and fun arguing over games. When he went into the hospital in May, we only had one day. He was gone so fast. You never know how much time you'll have so don't take it for granted that your loved ones will be here forever. This year football season just won't be the same.

:huggy: Couldn't have said it better myself. Nothing is worse than losing someone you love and having regrets about not spending enough time with them. I need to make more of an effort with my Gram & Great Aunt, even if just to call them more often (they're out of state). I know when their time comes, I'll wish I spoke with them more often if I don't make the time now.
