I hope someone gets pics. Even better, maybe it'll make the news. I'm impressed with the support the community has given to this family.

Apparently there were three processions. The first one just pulled into the cemetery. The bikers called FB and informed him that there are no protesters in sight, and had indicated at some point this morning they have been protesting at federal cemeteries.

I sat on the side of the road and watched that go by this morning as they left. There must have been close to 100 bikes there, which is more than I've seen at a police funeral.

Would THIS face lie?
I was leaving my work this morning in Leonardtown and a coworker came up and said "Stay clear of Brinsfields, because the bikes are getting ready to leave for Arlington" I bout broke my neck to get out of the parking lot...I went to Burchmart and sat until they went by....I just wanted to stand outside of the truck and show a little support...I wasn't the only one either...There were quite a few people standing around...It was a very impressive sight...I'm glad I was there to see it and show a little respect for our fallen hero.. :patriot:

There must be 100 - 200 motorcycles across from Brinsfield, waiting to escort Matt's body up to Arlington. What an incredible show of support. It made me cry when I realized what they were there for.

RIP, Matt.

anyone have pictures? I'd love to see some. Wish I could have seen it in person.
I wanted to go and stand on the side of the road to show support, but I was the only one here at work, so couldn't. I hope somebody did take some pictures. It was a site to behold and that was before they started out.

Hard for me...

I have to admit this really hits home for me. My husband is the one who putt Matt in the Army. He took it really hard. This is the first person that we've had this happen, so we're not sure how to take it. My husband was just doing his job and he understands that. Just wanted to share that.

:huggy: Just remember he was grown and made the decision by himself.

I should have just walked out and driven over and took pictures. The motorcycle brigade in that parking lot was awesome. I can't even put it in words. I cried for a half hour when I got to work. I had to get on the radio and tell our guys not to go that way when responding to calls and I had to stop twice so they didn't hear that I was upset. So very sad for the family.

The right thing is for them to provide a respectul barrier between the protesters and the family.
Absolutly. It's a military funeral so what should be done is have the Army send a division to the funeral for security. Thank god there's at least the Patriot Gaurd.
