crabcake said:Okay ... back to bidness ... I updated the driver ... still no dice. It used to be that the forum page would scroll up and down when I'd slide my finger over the strip ... it's still not working! :
could firefox be corupted?crabcake said:Okay, it's working in other applications (e.g., Powerpoint) ... but not Firefox.
All I get is a mini-scroll bar when I put my mouse over the window's scroll bar and slide my finger on the touch pad.

I have had silly issues with Firefox and rebooting has seemed to help. One day, I couldn't see 1/2 the smilies for some reason.
My Synaptics driver didn't work with Firefox or Netscape. It worked on IE7 and in the Ie rendering engine, but never in Netscape 7.2 or Firefox. I updated to the latest Synaptics generic and it works now.Pete said:could firefox be corupted?
I'm wondering if it works in IE. If it were me, I'd just put IE7 on it and done.somdebay said:I've had that problem with firefox in the past. I had to delete and re-install it, then it was ok. maybe try that?

Also, the new Firefox sucks. Use 1.5 if you can still get it. I perfer IE7 and the older Netscape because I can trust they're at least stable. I've always had problems with Firefox and the only reason I ever used it was for tabbed browsing, but now IE has it.
