The movers are moving stuff out of my place in Waldorf, I have been working in NJ at my new job since May 2, closed on the 1888 house on July 1. Movers should be in High Bridge on Saturday to unload, and I am so happy - house, job, horses, school all fell into place.
Ripped up carpet on Saturday not knowing what to expect and was met with beautiful maple hardwood floors!!! My new kitchen is the heart of the home, and I have that "I'm home" feeling, as I knew I would. Yeah the walls are plaster, there is no central AC, the wiring is iffy in some rooms, but I LOVE this house.
I know I will cry Thursday when I drive away from Chuck County, but I still have the friends I made here, and will be visiting now and then. It's a place that will be in my heart; Jersey may be 'home' but Southern MD has been very kind to me.
I will continue to visit the SOMD forums and keep up with youse guys, although may not post much since I no longer live here. Thanks you to all of you who made me feel at home here, who answered my posts, etc. You are the greatest!
