I currently live in Ashburn, VA and am looking to move out to Saint Mary's County. I have no clue regarding neighborhoods and school districts. I have a 5 year old who will be starting kindergarten this fall and a 6 month old.
I'd need fair daycare as well.

I'd love any information you have on neighborhoods and where the best school system is.

If you are def moving here, Hollywood Elementary is an exellent Elementary school. I'm sure other forum members that have/have had kids go there will agree :yay:

And depending on your income, Starmaker is an excellent daycare for your little one as well as before and after care for your 5 yr old.

:yeahthat: Also check Prep-N-Play, but they don't take babies. They have to be 2 y/o and potty trained.

Piney Point Elementary has been fantastic for us. Great teachers, great grades, etc.

Hollywood Elem is the best school for young ones. Hollywood is a bad place to live either. Wildewood is a good community. Daycare is hard to find and long wait list. There are always the private schools.

Leonardtown elmentary school is another really good school. Academy hills subdivision has a bunch of houses for sale. Also, Brenton Bay subdiviosn is good your kids will have to go to benjamin bennekar. I am not a fan of that school.

bring your boat, fishing rods and crab traps! We have a 4 bedroom house 2 bath, fenced in yard and playground too! The third bedroom is perfect for your nursery! It's in a water-oriented community, Lettie dent school district- LOVE this school and their teachers. Enjoy your crabs and entertain yoru claws off on your scenic view of the woods from yoru extra large deck. At times deer come through the yard. For pictures it's under the www.theamesgroup.com nice house on 1 acre

we stayed in the area, same school district too.

Park Hall Elementary is a nice school, my daughter went their 2 years and loved it. You may get more help if you indicate what type of living quarters you desire as well as potential work location. Neihborhoods around Great Mills Road are not that great, especially after dark. I suspect as a busy working person you will want a nice balance between school, home, shopping, work and family safety... :coffee:
