MRI w/ Contrast

Had several. Never a problem, except it does make you feel all warm and like you wet your pants.

Don't eat or drink anything before-hand for whatever length of time they tell you. That's to keep you from barfing all over then 5 mill. dollar machine (that's what they told me anyway).

They didn't tell me anything about not eating before. I better ask about that. Thanks.

I puked during both and I puked a lot when I got an upper GI and had to swallow the flavorless cheese whiz.

Did you puke as a reaction to the contrast or did you puke because you were nervous at the thought of them injecting it into you?

Needles don't bother me at all. I'm sensative to anything in me though. Even Advil makes me queezy. As soon as the warm feeling hit with the contrast I yakked.

So it wasn't any sort of reaction? It was all mental? I can handle the mental part. I just don't to have some adverse reaction.

No it's not mental. I have a SUPER weak stomach. If the indications on anything say "may cause nausea" for me it will. The MRI wasn't as bad as the CT. I gagged/dry heaved a lot with the MRI, I threw up with the CT.

Had my MRI and didn't feel a thing from the dye/contrast. It was actually just a little cool going in the arm and that was it. I slept through most of it.
