St. Mary's Co. Murder Investigation in Lexington Park

On August 22, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 21800 block of Ronald Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported shooting. Upon arrival a male victim was located suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Antione Jamal Bowman, age 21 of Lexington Park. Lifesaving efforts were attempted but Bowman was pronounced deceased on the scene.

UPDATE: The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the recent acts of violence in our community and has dedicated extra law enforcement personnel to the Lexington Park area to combat these crimes, and to ensure Lexington Park is safe and hospitable to all residents and visitors. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office continues to collaborate and provide assistance to the Maryland State Police on the active investigations.

Not sure what you are getting at. I responded to a comment which directly stated that a certain type of name leads to a certain type of lifestyle where I pointed out that it isn't the name that causes the outcome (implying it's other things such as home life or social dynamics) and you misunderstood and assumed I was upset that you made fun of stereotypical black naming conventions.

So because you misunderstand a very obvious point I made in a joking fashion I now have to endure being called out whenever there is a story about crime in the area?

The sheriffs office can release this same state replacing Lexington Park with Ridge! In addition to the two deputies at my place this afternoon, we saw two deputies a couple hours later in the Dollar General parking lot in Ridge. So you can rest assured that Ridge is safe and hospitable to everyone!
