I can think of who did do it:

Catholics who aren't getting enough attention and by doing it, they can convince people that their error isn't error but hatred from other people.
People they've offended because they don't know how to speak to people especially when it is slander or gossip like you are doing.
Teenagers in the community. I worked at businesses where the kids climbed the roof and took all the lightbulbs out and broke them all.
Atheists with a grudge
Sinful people (just because they are sinful).

We're probably forgetting the obvious suspects:

Those who were hurt by the Catholic Church.
Those who were hurt by paedophiles through the Catholic Church.

There's no need to ad hominem against ChuckT. It's a low intellectual blow. Engage on ideas, not personal attacks.

It is called propaganda. Countries do that when they want to go to war and one of them is usually wrong but because they want something, they need the people to fight so they lie about the truth. If the people knew their country was wrong then would they fight for a lie?

It is also like being in a cult because when you leave the faith, you are an outsider and you basically cut yourself off from your families and others and you are like the black sheep in the barn.

Wonder how many were wishing they had a gun before they realized (ad they were still breathing) that it wasn't an actual attack?

I'm assuming churches in Vegas are terrorist/ gunman safe zones

Uhh...

Neveda and the city of Vegas have some of the loosest gun laws in the united states ATM. This shouldn't be suprising as the whole city was built as a tourist destination by organized criminals who needed guns to do business.
