Must be something going around

Oldest kiddo was complaining about his stomach hurting, and it seemed to stop when his friend came over to play so I figured he was fine. He then said he wasn't hungry for dinner and looked very pale. He then proceeded to puke everywhere when I put him to bed.

Yes, my daughter, her fiancee, and her roommates, and their boyfriends just shared this crap. I guess, this winter wasn't harsh enough, and the viruses are thriving. Hope your kiddo feels better soon, and you don't get it!

There's a "new" strain of Norovirus going around. Fortunately it runs it's course pretty quick. Went through my family about a week ago.

Well, thankfully it doesn't appear to be norovirus. So far he feels better, but he's still pale and is just lounging around. Hopefully it doesn't make the rounds

My Daughter, and her 4 children had it this weekend. They had out of town guests who also got it. No clue if it was Novo, but it was bad.

That does sound like what we had, and the Dr. told me it is Norovirus. Not a terribly bad version of it, but it is spreading like wildfire.

Unless it was food poisoning......

That's not good news then. I guess we'll find out

Are you implying something about my cooking  We all ate the same food yesterday

We've been fighting it for 10 days. The funny thing is no one has thrown up. Everyone is complaining about stomach cramps and a low grade constant nausea.

My son was complaining of this yesterday but it came and went. I figured he was high on Easter stuff.

That's what it was for my daughter and me, but my wife and son had it a bit worse.

I've had a sick stomach, headache, and haven't had an appetite the past 2 full weeks. Today is the beginning of week 3 of this crap! Waaaa! I'm sick to death of feeling sick !

We had it too. The worst of it seems to pass pretty quickly, maybe 8 - 12 hours. After that it just seems to be a lingering head ache and tiredness.

Youngest is now sick. He had a fever and diarrhea last night. He was just quiet this morning and I thought the worst of it was over, and boom it came back this afternoon. Of course it was when I had him in underwear and was out of pull-ups

Oh my, poor thing. I have completed 3 full weeks of stomach pains, excess acid (not eating obviously contributes) and headache accompanied by lack of appetite. I just want my regular appetite back.

Sorry I missed your reply. Hope you're feeling better. I was afraid to let the kiddo eat what he wanted to eat this evening, but I think he was feeling worse because he hadn't eaten.

Just an FYI to those of you with little ones

I had to take the kiddo to the ER last night. I was worried about dehydration. The diarrhea eventually subsided, and then came on the vomiting. It's been a tough 5+ days for the kiddo.
There were three other toddlers in the ER with "buckets" on hand, so I'm sure there is something nasty going around. The nurse also said as much.

I shouldnt jinx myself, but I'm surprised we haven't gotten it.

I agree, there are some bad bugs going around.

I am mid-way through week 4 of feeling crappy and am just now starting to feel better (thankfully). I have never felt this bad for so long in my life. I was starting to wonder if I had something serious going on that needed to be diagnosed. My family has been keeping an eye on me also. They dragged me off to Texas Roadhouse over the weekend to make me eat. I got down about 1/4 of my meal and took the rest home. Then I was taken to Roy Rogers in Laplata the other day - I did better and ate the entire roast beef sandwich.

I've dropped a few pounds - not exactly a recommended diet plan, but hey, I'll be ready for bikini season sooner that I thought! I always seem to add on about 5 lbs during the Winter that I have to work off come Spring.
