Watch it
Hes 1 of 4. The other 3 are of normal weight, all spayed and neutered. I think Charlie just got the fat gene. You should see him run, I mean waddle, waddle.:lmao:

:lmao: I like when fat cats go to roll over and get stuck in the middle of the roll and their legs are sticking up in the air. :lmao:

Why me??
Wow that was quick. Thank you!! Ok here it goes.... I have 2 cats who are 4 years old. We are having problems with them waking us up in the middle of the night. We have locked them out the room and put pile of pillows against the door so they wont scratch. That didn't work. My husband bought 2 baby gates and stacked them on top of each other at the end of the hallway. Well you guessed it they climb over them and started scratching at the door at 1am. My husband told me that if we can't get them under control we are going to have to get rid of them. I told him there is NO way we are getting rid of them. I had them before I met him and they are my babies. What can we do?? Thank-you all!! I am very sad today cause of this.

Don't you have another room your husband can sleep in? Then you can have your cats in bed with you. That's the way it's supposed to be anyway. :bubble:

Are the used to being in the room with you when you're asleep?

If so, it will take time for them to adjust to not sleeping with you. Is there a reason they are not allowed to sleep with you? I have 7 cats and 4 of them sleep with me and my husband.

I would think that letting them in with you and letting them sleep in the room with you would be the better solution.

I don't know what to tell you about the scratching. But if they are used to sleeping with you it just takes time for them to adjust and hubby should be more considerate, you were theirs first!

How about buying a dog crate for them. Maybe you could crate them for the night

I have told my husband over and over that they need to adjust, but he wants to see results right away. They have always slept with us but they have started scratching at our dressers like at 2-3 in the morning and waking him up. He wants to put them in 1 of our spare rooms at night, but I know we will hear them running around. I just don't know what to do....

That's ridiculous. Get a spray bottle and spray them every time they jump on the bed. They'll leave you alone.
