Teach dogs and Kids to stay off of itpixiegirl said:Forget it! Temporary fix. Mily has her own chair. I cleaned it a couple times but eventually gave up. Next time you get furniture, get leather. The new furniture made it back into the Florida Room last week because the kids and dog were killing it.
My neighbor has a rottweiler and a doberman that think the furniture is theirs. It's leather. She swears by it, saying it can take the abuse better than any fabric upholstery she's owned.cattitude said:I'd like to get some different furniture for our family room and would like leather but have read that it doesn't hold up well with dogs. I keep their nails trimmed, but maybe that's not enough.
And I like my dogs sitting with me in the evenings so staying off the furniture isn't an option.
