This is what my new clutch disk looks like for my Jetta:

yall are TFF...

notice on the old clutch pic the spring is broken out of the center, along with the WHOLE center part of the clutch disc that rides on the spline input shaft to the transaxle. The spokes on this part that connects to the actual clutch material completely sheared off from the rest.

I was gonna point that out to 'em, but didn't want them looking stoopid by having "a girl" tell 'em.
