:yay: Cool aint it

I got blood all over my uniform tonight. The guy I was sparring with got a scrape or something on his hand and flung it all over. By the end of the round I had blood all over my white uniform and my foot.

No Longer the Kid
Brings back memories of when I used to box...

Imma have to start again....

It is something to hold your chin up to when you watch and/or achieve things like that... I got some years to go though before I can watch my kid(s) do any of that.. I guess I need to have one so I can start the countdown

But congrats to ya both :yay:

Kudos for getting your girl self defense lessons :yay: It is so important. I also took Tae Kwon Do, I respect gay people. If I heard you call my boy gay I would beat you like a red headed step child :wench:

Congrats to you and your kid. :yay: Great feeling of accomplishment for you and her.

I am the Sensei for the Patuxent River Karate Club on base. It is a lot (I mean a lot) less $$$$$$$$$$$ than the TKD schools and is open to anyone who can get on base. We study Okinawan Shorin-ryu Matsumura Orthodox Karate and Kobudo at the Kyu level and Matsumura Hakutsuru for the Dan students.

I started at the age of 9, continued all the way through and after my stint in the Navy, I had to stop at the age of 35 due to a fall that broke my back.

But, I still think I can spar pretty darn good.

Wish I had started when I was 9. As it is, I've been at it over 30 years.

You should the look of surprise when someone is holding the kicking bag for me and I put them across the room. I don't use a holder often; only when someone wants to get smart with me. Doesn't hurt them and it gets the point across.

Did you ever think of running a self defense clinic?

A friend of mine and I were sparring in the gym on the ship one day.

during the warm up Jim side kicked the bag,, and split it. Nobody holding it.

I had much respect for him after that.:boxing:

Almost every Tuesday and Thursday.

A ladies' self defense clinic was the most important class I ever took in my whole life :yay: It is amazing what we don't know about protecting ourselves. It totally changed how I approach a situation. I would love it if we could put self defense in the public school curriculum.

I would be glad to teach a self defense clinic if someone would like to arrange it.

Actually, I dont think I would really make the gay kid comment in public.

I dont really think the kid was gay, but he does have some rather female qualities about him.
