My mickey dog

I'm really happy that you had some time to say goodbye. Reading your last post made me cry and I don't know you or your dog. Our pets are special souls that make live so much better. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Well, the time has come and in my mind- it was to fast... Tomorrow sometime- mickey is getting put down. She fell a total of 4 more times tonight. Once down the stairs of my parents house- and then 3 more times outside. I hate it. I really do. But its not good for her to live like this. My parents are going to bury her in the backyard- it was like she got her last spunk of life in her this morning through the afternoon when jesse, ireland and I were there. She became her old self. She is trying so hard- but she needs to rest now.

Although it is very difficult and I know any of us that have pets feel your pain, please know you are making the most humane decision for your dog. She is in more pain by trying to walk and act like her old self than she will be when the time finally comes.

I am so sorry for your loss and I hope that you have comfort in knowing she loved you and that she knows just how much you loved her. Its the ultimate sacrfice we all have to make at some time or another for our beloved pets.

It seems like just yesterday this all happened- but it holds true that you can love another. I would like you all to meet Brownie. She was adopted from the animal welfare leauge on saturday! She is lab, boxer and another mix. We dont know- and neither did they. Anyway- she is almost a year old, will actually be a year old on the 24th of June. She is the sweetest girl. She loves Ireland to death.

Anyway- just wanted to gloat! Also- there is a doggie at the charles county humane society that my parents are thinking to be a companion to Brownie. They are waiting approval.
