I never said anything racist or not. Never said I wasn't either. But I do believe that if you come to this country, speak english. If I go to Spain I have to speak Spanish.

What about catering to tourist? I've been to many countries. Although I always tried to at least learn some of the language, I was glad that most of them catered to me and knew English.

and i was really glad the ATM had the choice of Portugeese or English
French or English... That used to really pizz me off when I had to select English at an ATM in the states but now I am really cool with it

Slotted, most of the Hispanics that come here are not tourists. Maybe those that visit from Spain, but not the people everyone is speaking about. I was raised in Fresno, California and moved to Yuma, AZ. Those people were not tourists. They were illegals and spoke English UNTIL they got to the cash register. Then they switched to Spanish and a translator had to be called in. 20 years ago you could hardly get a job in Yuma, AZ unless your were bi-lingual.

Really, have you ever really been unable to go about your business because of a language barrier? I ate at a restaurant last night where the lady couldn't speak English, but we got by just fine. I was in an Argentinian restaurant, so, I didn't really expect any other language.
